Life Purpose Ah-Ha Moments

  • At age 24, Eric was a drug and alcohol addict.  He lived in the back of a van.  Facing lots of jail time, he knew he had to make a different choice if he wanted to live.
  • Eric fell out of recovery and recommitted to sobriety.

Spiritual Belief

  • Agnostic.  “I’m interested but I don’t really know”.  Aligns closely with Buddhism.  No God participating or intervening in life.  Everything is connected.
  • Eric’s connection with Alcoholics Anonymous has influenced his understanding of God in a broad way.

  • “Meditation practice is mental hygiene.  Meditating can be a lot simpler than people make it out to be.  Start with 5 minutes and work up.  Also, moving your body is the best anti-depressant.”
