Like many people, I’m doing a deep dive on Gratitude this month. Sure, it’s Thanksgiving month and the perfect time to think about Gratitude. However, it’s more than that for me this year. My life has always been divinely blessed. I’m not sure I’ve always appreciated just how loved and lucky I am. It’s time I got real cozy with those feelings.
I’ve been reading Brene Brown’s book, The Gifts of Imperfection, for the past few months. I love her concept that Grateful people find joy (versus Joyful people are grateful). I’m also working on gratitude with my 8 1/2 year old daughter. Each night before bed, we’re writing down what we’re both grateful for, talking about it and then placing our lists in her prayer box. It’s a delightfully intimate experience. I’m looking forward to having a deep gratitude practice in our lives from now on. I hope you will too.
I’ve been inspired by many articles, videos and online tools. I wanted to share them with you. Come share what’s inspiring your gratitude with me on our Life Purpose Advisor Facebook page.
